Ok i bought a used G72gx a few months ago and it came with a 120w adapter. Now i have no complaints, the machine works well with my games and vm's and stuff and for the price that i got it at, i can't complain. Should be looking to buy a 150w adapter?

If you have a perfectly working laptop and are contemplating buying an extra adapter for no reason whatsoever, then sure, why not. It most likely means you have money to burn, and the extra money in circulation is useful for the economy. Although I'd recommend investment funds, or the casino if you're feeling adventurous and want a memorable night as well. ;)

What you will notice is that the battery charges up a little faster.

Plus having a power draw ceiling well above the regular power draw makes the more powerful PSU last much longer as its not being stressed to the levels its usually expected to be dealing with.
