I recently received my Newegg order for 16 gig 4x4 G.Skill ram and was wondering if it would void my warranty to install all of it and replace the current 8 gig I have. If I understand correctly the CPU has a sticker on it that shows if that area has been tapered with. Im just wondering if I can add all of my new ram and still have the warranty.

Upgrading ram will not void warranty. Upgrading your CPU will.

Thanks, I didnt have to replace the one stick of RAM that was hidden deep in the laptop because it was a 4 gig stick already.

It actually came stock with 6 gig total. 4x1 and 2x1. thankfully the 4 gig stick was in the deepest most inaccessible spot and i just took the 2x1 gig stick out and added 3 more 4 gig sticks. But I gotta RMA it so i gotta take it all out and put the stock drive back in and stock ram. Its going to be fun......

Most of the time it wont POST/turn on and its because of the magnets that are supposed to tell the computer when the display is open. It has got to a point which is unacceptable so im going to RMA as soon as I buy a cheap replacement comp.
