I recently received my Newegg order for 16 gig 4x4 G.Skill ram and was wondering if it would void my warranty to install all of it and replace the current 8 gig I have. If I understand correctly the CPU has a sticker on it that shows if that area has been tapered with. Im just wondering if I can add all of my new ram and still have the warranty.![]()

Upgrading ram will not void warranty. Upgrading your CPU will.

Thanks, I didnt have to replace the one stick of RAM that was hidden deep in the laptop because it was a 4 gig stick already.

My laptop has 4x2gb sticks in it's slots. Did your have 1x4gb and 2x2gb?
-
It actually came stock with 6 gig total. 4x1 and 2x1. thankfully the 4 gig stick was in the deepest most inaccessible spot and i just took the 2x1 gig stick out and added 3 more 4 gig sticks. But I gotta RMA it so i gotta take it all out and put the stock drive back in and stock ram. Its going to be fun......

Why are you RMAing it?

Most of the time it wont POST/turn on and its because of the magnets that are supposed to tell the computer when the display is open. It has got to a point which is unacceptable so im going to RMA as soon as I buy a cheap replacement comp.
