The first night I tried the laptop everything seemed to work OK. Now that I have restarted the laptop I turn on the glasses and nothing happens. I notice the little yellow light from the transmitter never comes on. I've tried with and without having the glasses connected to USB.

Any idea how to make it come on? I went into the start menu and enabled 3d vision and still nothing.

I didn't do any live updates, bios updates, driver updates. So not sure what could be the problem.

    Thanks

Have you tried running the 3D setup Wizard again?

At first I installed BioShock2, then I pressed the 3d vision button on the laptop. The game properly displays the 3d image. So I turn on my glasses and nothing. They appear to turn on, but never activate into 3d (when working the ambient light got noticably darker and the left\right lens would flicker a second). I notice the little yellow light from the transmitter never comes on. I tried multiple reboots without success.

Then I went back to try the things that worked before. One being the nvidia website. Before when I viewed a move the transmitter automatically came on. Now it does nothing on this page. Same with the demo photo slide show, it worked before, now does nothing.

No, I'll have to find that setup again and try it.

Can you tell me where to find this again? The manual just says start the wizard, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

    Thanks

nVidia control panel > stereoscopic area should be enabled and you'll want to run the wizard to confirm everything is properly working.

Keep in mind that updating the drivers may contribute to technical issues with operating your 3D. I personally used the stock driver b/c it was the most reliable.

    Right click on desktop.
    Select NVIDIA Control Panel.
    Then, it will open.
On the "Select a Task", expand "Stereoscopic 3D".
After that, you'll see "Set up stereoscopic 3D".
    Check "Enable stereoscopic 3D".
    Click "Apply".
    Finally, "Run Setup Wizard".
Then it should show you something in 3D

*Make sure the glasses are ON.

    Hope this works!

One more thing is that nvidia newer beta drivers comes with embedded 3d vision setup ... you may want to try that if all else fails (because of the beta nature). However i am using them for almost 2 weeks without any problems.

you may find the beta drives at

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 266.35 BETA

    Thanks everyone for the help.

I finally did figure it out. I remembered reading in a post about refresh speeds. While performing the steps above I noticed the "Stereoscopic 3D display type" was set to 3D Vision. So I changed it to my "Asus 120Hz 3D LCD" and also changed under the "Change Resolution" page I set it to "120 Hz". Only then did my 3D start to work again. I did not update the drivers, they are still stock.

I have no idea what the setting were when it worked before or if they ever changed, but this is what finally made it work for me. Just played some Bioshock 2 in 3D....pretty cool, though a little laggy.

Thanks again for all your help.
