    Hey folks. Quick question.

I plug my laptop to my Samsung 8 series tv via HDMI 1.4

While playing Bad Company 2 I can get the sound from the TV, but when i play Black Ops the sound comes from the laptop but not the TV.

ANyone knows whats up with that? I want the sound to always come from the TV.

Try right clicking the sound icon in the task tray and choosing "Playback Devices". Set the HDMI as the default output and see if that makes the sound come out to the TV. I think with some games, the type of audio it is outputting overrides the fact that it is plugged into HDMI and makes it come out analog over the speakers instead of via the HDMI cable. I noticed some of my games play from the computer instead of the TV too. I think it's to do with it's "output stream". I was just goofing around to see what it was like on the TV so I didn't work on it too hard. The text looked crappy on my 720P TV so I disconnected.
