i want to know that how can i get 5.1 audio out from my laptop.

Laptop - Asus G50 VT x6 which has a normal headphone audio out jack.

Have not decided on 5.1 speaker set as of now, need your inputs 1st. Though i might go for Z506.

    Please suggest.

You need a mini toslink optical cable to get 5.1 out of your g50vt.

The sound quality is better than a typical headphone jack because it's digitally controlled pulses of red light that get sent out instead of an analog electrical signal.

However, this means you need a decoder so make sure whatever system you choose can support toslink/optical input! They are more expensive. If you're looking at PC speakers you're best off doing what AMRAAM suggested and getting a USB 5.1 sound card.
