I'm surprised by the benchmark scores. I would like to see big screenshots with fps of Metro 2033 at 1080p DX11 in OC'ed preset of the 560M 128-bit if it's okay.. You have TW2 also in 1080p? Thanks.
Also, why not use 275.33 whql and 275.50 beta, they will yield higher benchmark scores than older drivers.
The Vantage OC 'ed score though of the 560M 128-bit beats the OC'ed 460M 192-bit by a huge margin. Although the gpu score is normal, the cpu score is double of what we usually have. Is that consistent Vantage score on multiple tests? We usually do 8885 GPU score and 17445 CPU for Vantage that gives 10,100+ overall.. just a thought.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor,ASUSTeK Computer Inc. G74Sx score: P9613 3DMarks
I could go further, but I like the current temps and this is more than enough gpu power for the games I play. -

Re: The 128bit 560M
After careful analysis and taking into consideration other points and views and evidence on hand not to mention the 3DMark scores of stock and overclocked results, GPU-z and the comparison against other results including my own lovely 5870M which wipes the floor with it. It seems to be on par with the 192bit 460M so all is not lost however the bandwidth is where the difference will be and people forget how important bandwidth is, as such from this and with all the egotistical power I attain I concur....
The 128bit 560M is indeed a gimp. Daller's decision is final. -

Dirt 3 benchmarks: All done with Ultra settings where applicable, 4xAA with stock Nvidia driver 268.37. I used the stock for everything right now just because that is what ships with the laptop.
For reference, Review Asus G74SX-3DE Gaming Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews
In the above link, they ran Dirt 3 at 1920x1080 on a non-gimped 560M with the same settings I used and got an average FPS of 22.57. The gimped 560M got an average FPS of 20.75. Not too shabby. I think I'm going to call the 560m (128) The Gimp That Could...at least in Dirt 3.
1920x1080, 4xAA, stock GPU - 20.75 FPS average
1920x1080, 4xAA, OC GPU (925/1850/1500) - 25.05 FPS average
1600x900, 4xAA, stock GPU - 20.91 FPS average
1600x900, 4xAA, OC GPU (925/1850/1500) - 32.06 FPS average
I'm going to do Mafia 2 next as I know that has a built in benchmark.Last edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -
Good work OP great to have lots of info for people to refer to before making a purchase.
How have you found the 560M personally in gameplay.
Are the frames stable?
Is the overclock stable?
What are the temps like?
Clearly your overclock is what makes such a big difference in your gaming results at the moment, this is promising. 12 FPS difference in Dirt when O/c. Thats huge! -

Thanks!!!
Now that is the rub...with all of this benchmarking...I have yet to really get down and play games on this thing. And that is a pity. Well, that is not quite true, I have been addicted to World Of Tanks for about two weeks now and that plays really well...45 FPS average with temps no higher than 60 c (overclocked GPU). No issues so far.
I would like to wipe it and install Windows 7 fresh and update the Nvidia drivers once I get around to it.
I'm going to bench a few more that were in the review for the of the G74SX-3DE since there are FPS averages there to compare to.
I'm going to do Crysis GPU Benchmark, Mafia 2, BFBC2, and Risen.
Lets see where that take us. -
its awesome! Currently working the German route.

I'm going the US, just got my M4 Sherman with a 105MM gun...it is quite the nice boom stick! I do find the German tanks much cooler looking though.
I'm kingbobyjr...if you ever see me on there say "Hi!"
