    :) Hello :) ,
After reviewing the specifications of this Asus G73JH-BST7 ,one question arises in mind, that what are the most useful upgrades will this laptop receive,if required any  ?

Then I came up with the following ideas :p :

HDD : 640 GB HDD might sound enough for many persons but certainly not its 5400 RPM speed. Buyer's might consider suitable 7200 RPM from any major HDD producers at any size. Recommended HDD's are :

    1.Seagate Momentus XT ST95005620AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s with NCQ Solid State Hybrid Drive @ 99.99 USD

    2.Western Digital Scorpio Black WD7500BPKT 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive @ 109.99 USD

People those who have a healthy budget might consider to use that second bay with a SSD to boot faster and to reduce access time lot lower. Recommended SSD's are :

    1.OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive @ 119.99 USD

2.Corsair Force CSSD-F60GB2-BRKT 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) @ 129.99 USD

3.G.SKILL Phoenix Pro Series FM-25S2S-60GBP2 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) @ 129.99 USD

Cooler : This is the one of the most debated upgrades for any Gaming laptops regardless of brand and configuration. No body likes a hot laptop hurting his lap neither none likes a overheated laptop's lackluster performance in games or applications. My opinion is based on raw airflow and best cooling solutions regardless of noise level and so on,so this means I have found out the best of the best to cool these hot beasts!!!
    Recommended Cooler's are :

1.NZXT ACC-NT-CRYO LX Aluminum Notebook Cooler 120MM Adjustable Fans (Black) @ 67.99 USD

    2.COOLER MASTER SF-19 Notebook Cooler Model SGA-4000-KKNF1 @ 54.99 USD

    3. ZALMAN Notebook Cooler Model ZM-NC2000 Black @ 54.99 USD

Remember, If you want a super cooling performance you must change the stock fan of these models with the Scythe SY1225SL12SH 120mm "Slipstream" Case Fan - which can haul 110 CFM air at 1900 RPM and a 37 db noise level!

*** You can mod the NZXT CYRO LX to accomadate 4 fans in total and also mod the COOLER MASTER SF-19 as well as the Zalman ZM-NC2000 to hold 3 fans respectively. My mods will finish in a short while and I shall upload detailed instructions with pictures for your references  ***

I will add more recommendations later this day.

Please post your comments and thoughts about my selection.

I'd get the momentus XT and Vertex 2. You don't need a cooler. Also if you can , upgrade the screen to a full HD one. Doesn't seem to expensive to do.
