Just bought one and can't believe that they don't supply you with the info about the "what the light indicators mean" in certain circumstances and what the 3 buttons on the top left of the keyboard do. No mention of the buttons anywhere. I mean, I have been searching on here for an hour, ASUS's website for an hour and the pathetic generic user's manual only says that there are indicators lights on the front.
Yes, I can guess at the lights but would still like something tangible in the way of definitions for each light and what they indicate. Same for the buttons.
    Any help? Thanks

BTW, awesome notebook can't wait to start testing. :)

I'm not sure that you need a manual to say that the indicator light with a flashing battery means charging, the light with a slash through it means lights off, the one with a speedometer does turbo, and the circle with a line means power.

Thanks. Now why couldn't they say that in the manual? Some laptops have different colors for the same light depending on status. Also, what about the 3 buttons or "hotkeys" in upper left?

Evil Claw, Welcome to the owner's lounge. The left button control the blue lighting and has 3 positions, The right button is the splendid utility and adjusts screen 'contrast' in windows, the middle button toggles turbo mode in windows (if turbo is on in BIOS) and IT also can be used at startup to boot to Express gate.
These answers assume you have win 7 and have the 'factory setup'

Good point. I've done a re-install, and if you don't install the appropriate utilities (spendid, ATK, P4G, etc) you won't get any response when pushing the buttons.
