    download from Guru3D.com

Anyone use this? Does this work for the 5870m? What are some safe and slightly high stats? My temps are pretty low so I think I can go pretty high

If you have installed Chastity's vBios, with overdrive unlocked, then you can use that instead in the catalyst control centre.

The AMD GPU clock tool works fine, can use it to try and find what works. Popular core clock is 805mhz, and you could try memory to 1100mhz, but I don't mess with the memory with mine as it seems to have less performance than the core, and the screen flicker as it changes annoys me.

I just run mine with 805/1000 in overdrive. Works fine, barely any hotter.

Thanks for the reply. For now I"ll use the tool

However, this version said it couldn't detect the device so I googled amd tool 5870m and am trying that one but the install won't finish. It's stuck here and I have to end the process.

edit - However, after I end the process and go to the install folder, it looks like the tool is working (or at least it opened up).

    Is it safe to use?

i have been using AMD tool like forever
always overlocking on every second game , except if i feel like the frames are good on high
amd overdrive sucks big time becouse it will stuck your clocks

you just use Amd clock tool while you play and after you finished playing restore to default clocks

and remember it is not the temperature that will alow you to overlock much ....
