Seeing as my GPU sometimes tends to get stuck on 500MHz for the Core Clock, I decided to try out the GPU Clock Tool as CCC doesn't seem to have an option to change my clock speed anymore.

Anywho, will always keeping the Core clock speed at 700 damage my graphics card at all? Right now my temps seem fine, but I don't want to do something that will cause any issues down the line.

Also, will I be able to theoretically overclock with this tool, or will I need to upgrade my VBios in order to do that?

All you are doing is having the GPU stay at the 3D performance clocks of 700/1000 you will not cause any damage by having it run at stock clocks.

The difference will be that your voltage will also be at 1.15v instead of clocking down as it would before so you may notice slightly higher temps and slightly more power consumpion but not much as it all depends how much load is being placed on the card.

To overclock with CCC you need to flash your Vbios to .93 the OD2 Version which enables overdrive it will also sort out the problem with the clocks not dropping correctly. You should be fine using a program such as ATI Tool or MSI/Trixx to overclock.

If you see your GPU stuck at 500MHz, maybe it's because you have a video opened, i noticed that sometimes the GPU will stay at UVD clocks if you have a youtube video and a game opened at the same time.

I had it flashed to .93, but had to take it into BB to get it fixed. It seems they reverted it back to .92. My issues are gone, so I'm guessing that something went wrong when I flashed it before.

My overall temps are still lower now, I used to get to 100C, now it stays around 90C. I'll see how this does for me for now. Thanks though :)

Hmmm it is unlikely they flashed it with an older Vbios it sounds more like they replaced your GPU which is quite common during an RMA its easier to whip out the old one or replace the entire motherboard for them than start taking things apart. Although not cost effective ;)

90oC is still quite humid stick with your stock clocks as you might not notice much of a difference with a slight overclock anyway.
