I just wanted to get this info out about a behavior that was exhibited by the touchpad here. On occasion the cursor position would jump while typing, and do other strange things. (sound familiar?)

checking the settings, I found that the driver disables the touchpad while typing, and has a delay setting before enabling it. On default it is set to 0.5 seconds. Apparently my typing speeds was tripping it when it was enabling, and causing the screwiness. I raised the delay up to 1.5 secs, and my issues went away.

So please, check your settings before beginning a thread called "ASUS Touchpad still broken in SX."

Not trying to beat a dead horse but shouldn't the touchpad work regardless of the delay? I mean... I on occasion feel lazy and wish to play RTS and other games without using my mouse in bed. My G51 never had this issue and this thing likes to just click while I'm typing (I even raise my wrist off the touchpad and it's happened 3 times typing this). I did update the synaptics driver to no avail either.

So I think this thread should exists because the touchpad shouldn't just click when you type something and games the need click+a won't work with taps if you set the delay.

Well, I wanted to give everyone a heads-up if they should encounter this issue. And the touchpad here is a Sentelic, and not Synaptics. :)
