Yeah, it's late. I just arrived home from a road trip about an hour ago. Anyways, I was surfing Newegg as I usually do and see they have this model in stock to order. Yes, I did place an order quickly!

I haven't logged too much time here but figured I'd alert anyone surfing right now who's interested in nabbing one. :D

So, did anybody actually order one? Any comments?

I can live without the bag, the mouse and the lack of a blu-ray drive. The extra harddrive is no big deal either. Less heat internally but it also gives me the perfect excuse to add an SSD later on. I'm sure tracking down a harddrive caddy shouldn't be too difficult when I'm ready to upgrade later this year.

I almost pulled the trigger, but I already have a N71JQ-X1 on the way (should be here in a few hours, actually) that'll suit my needs fine.

I'd been waiting for an in-stock G73 for awhile now, I'm pretty much over it at this point :)

Yea I saw the x1 for sale. The a1 is really worth the money for what you get. I am glad I have an A1 aka x2. I got the blueray drive and bought a hdd and bam instant A1.

I think for $200 bucks more, I'd wait it out. It's definately not worth being impatient and spending $1800 instead of $1500-1650ish from another site.

I got an A2 and used the bag that came with it for like a day then ended up going back to my old XPS bag which I love. The only thing that worried me about the X1 was people said it didn't come with the HDD caddy. That is the only reason I didnt get that. I have no real use for Blue Ray - I only needed 1 500GB HDD because I have an Intel X25 160SSD drive I use as my primary, The bag I don't use and the mouse I have already replaced because though nice, it didnt have any side buttons.

If the X1 had the HDD caddy in it already I would have saved a few $$$ and brough that one.

I can't say enough about this laptop. Ive had it for a few weeks now and it's been flawless. The Intel SSD is a must have.

I agree with you. Microcenter (a few stores) have the X2 for $1499. I think I'll wait it out for my local one to get one in..and get the blueray.

There's no caddy. It's been stated hundreds of times. Currently there's no way to order one. You could maybe use double-sided tape or velcro, or hack another caddy into the right size.
