    Hello,

I have an ASUS G51J, and I just don't game anymore.

However everything else about this laptop is fantastic and I don't much want to go and sell it at a huge loss... I would simply like to severely underclock (or even remove) the GPU.

I can't seem to get into the VBIOS... because a massive undervolt would go a long way in improving battery life.

    Please advise.

    Also I was looking here..

    Any tips?

Use rivatuner. It's pretty easy to underclock the 260m.

For a lighter and more updated application I would recommend NVIDIA Inspector 1.9.5.5. Just create a desktop icon when you setup your desired clocks, and click on it when you want lower speeds. You can even copy the icon to your Startup folder.

I have aggressively under-clocked the videocard and now I want to undervolt for 2 reasons:

    1) I can get more battery life out of this thing.
    2) Reduce temps... even with an underclock we are looking at idle at 55-60 degrees which affects HDD 2 (load temps around 45 degrees).

    Please help.
