I recently changed my nvidia drivers to dox 185.85 as I read lots of good things about it. I installed my drivers everything was fine until about a week ago when my sound stopped working through the internal speakers.

I have no idea if the driver update has something to do about it or not but the sound works fine through my headphones and the speakers work fine when the computers starts up and displays the ROG logo and sound. Im pretty sure theres nothing the with sound card iteslf as the sound works fine in my headphones. The internal speakers are the only things not working. No idea what to do about it. Any advice at all would be really appreciated.

Here are the specs of my laptop. Maybe they can help?

    CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo T9600

    RAM : 4GB RAM

    HDD : 320GB HDD

    Graphics : GTX 260M

Sound : It says High Definition Audio Device in device manager. Not sure if its right

Hopefully I will be able to solve my problem. Thanks in advance.

I dont think thats the problem as after I installed DOX the sound was fine. It was a week later when the sound stopped working. I would think that if DOX was the problem then the sound would have stopped working right after I installed it. Also I only uninstalled the display driver for the 260M and reinstalled the DOX display driver. However I will try it and report back.
