Just like in the topic, I have a problem with my Asus G53SW.
after a few minutes in intensive GPU application my laptop's screen goes black, second monitor connected by VGA port goes stand-by mode(orange led.)
Music still plays but laptop is not responsible... situation happens in games, 3D apps like Maya or Mudbox, sometimes even when i'm watching YouTube video (flash is probably GPU accelerated)
GPU temp looks good: 80C under high load but computer crashes even when GPU has 70C. I reinstalled driver, I cleaned everything using Driver Cleaner 3, I tried other drivers ... nothing.
I also tested hard drives using HD Tune and GPU Ram using Video Memory Stres Test 1.7... nothing...
I have no idea what is broken... ; ) please help.
    and sorry for my english

Try lowering the video memory clock by 200mhz and see if it still happens. Then try the core clock by 100mhz.

    Nothing : / , Black screen after 10 seconds of 3DMark11
    ...
I tried a different approach, I ran the Ubuntu LIVE CD and Nexuiz game (because I do not know any other graphics-intensive benchmarks/games for linux ;) with all settings set to High/Insane and... everything works well, no black screen, no crash.
So, maybe its software problem with my Windows 7 (PRO 64bit) but I have no idea what could cause this problem...

Temps are fine too, can you try lowering your core clock 150mhz (or what you can if it's less) and seeing if that helps you.

I lowered everything as far as I could in MSI afterburner aaaand nothing... ;)
it seems to me that the GPU just dies.

Usually such an error would appear quickly though, not after extended gameplay, it happens on both AC and battery?
