Hey all, I was on my laptop last night (ASUS G73jh) when it locked up, after restarting I got this message "A disk read error occurred press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" and it keeps looping back to the screen, I cannot press f8 to get my boot options. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Is this a common problem?

Well for one, you need to press ESC to get your boot options.

But it sounds like your primary HDD died or is in the process of dying :( You should try downloading the hp usb tool http://pcaudio.org/stuff/93vBIOS_OD.rar (you can ignore the vbios stuff) and running chkdsk while in DOS to see if it can at least fix it enough to let you boot into windows. You can also try moving the first HDD to the second slot to see if it's a bad controller or not (more than likely is just the HDD itself).
