    Hey Guys,

I got my ASUS G73JH from Best Buy and I am considering refunding it, because the biggest thing that is bugging me is the KEYBOARD lag. I use this laptop for not only gaming, but I also need to be able to type up stuff for school.

What do you guys think? Is there a fix out there yet?

(Haven't put a clean windows on it YET, and I'm scared to install the wrong drivers on the computer)

Could somebody link the drivers that will make this baby work SUPER!

    Thank you so much

Several users have stated that bios 209 and disabling the trackpad in the bios (not windows) fixes this problem.

    Cheers,

Only way to get rid of the missing keystrokes is to disable the touchpad in the bios. Believe me, ive tried everything.
Theres also the GSOD on the newer drivers issue you should be aware of. For a full list of problems and solutions see my sig.
Test it fully now while you can still return it to see if your works as you expect it to and if like it or not, so you dont regret it later when youre stuck with it.

I would love to give that Bios change a try, but I am scared that I will mess up my 1300 dollar laptop. Does anybody have advice? Should I bring it back to BestBuy and replace it with the same one (maybe that one has a upgraded bios?)

Guys give me some advice, I am a student so this typing issue sucks for me, but I also want a laptop that is a BEAST for gaming?

Advice advice :) I have 3 more days to bring it back

Let the techs there flash it. If they fubar it, they'll have to replace it. :)

Do you think bestbuy will take it back if I do the BIOS change and say the laptop wont turn on anymore?

Are you sure it isn't already 209? My RBBX05 from BB came with 209 already.

Honestly, I am not sure how to check?

Do you have the same (keyboard lag?)

I haven't installed a clean windows version yet though

I have the BB version and haven't had keyboard lag. An easy way to check your BIOS without restarting is to just hold FN + ESC. If it freezes, you're on 206. If it doesn't, you're on 209.

Your BIOS should be unaffected by your OS. So yes, it will stay 209.

Kaelang, I still experience keyboard lag with 209. I disabled the touchpad to stop it, though.

I honestly can't tell you what the problem is. It certainly is a bugger though. Wish I could be of more help. :(

There's nothing else to be done. Disabling the trackpad in the bios resolves the problem.

    Cheers,
