For anyone that has been looking, I can confirm that this rig will recognize 8GB RAM modules.
    I had 6GB of ram when I bought this used laptop. (3 x 2GB)
Today, I installed 2 8GB modules. I now have 16GB of RAM in the machine. Runs perfectly.
I would be almost 100% positive that it would see 32GB. Running 64bit windows of course.

The 8GB ram I bought was corsair vengeance. It's actually 1600mhz but the laptop runs it at 1333 or whatever the limit is on these things.

Also, in case someone's keyboard back light does not come on, try Fn+F4.

I found that mine was somehow turned all the way down (probably after a complete power down and dead CMOS battery) and for the life of me I could not figure out how to turn the keyboard light back on.

    regards

Double confirmed. I'm running 16gb on my asus g73jh. I even went to the trouble of dismantling the lappy to get to the fourth ram. 4gb x 4. There was so much dust around the fans and in the case it was not funny/ worth doing peeps.
