    : (
First it the Video Card ( Radeon 5870m MXM 3.0) over " burning" excess temperature at a given time. Since then I've been looking for another VGA to him yesterday and my order arrived 13/03/2013 day with my'' new'' board, but it still fails to exchange, information:

With VGA OLD only pulsed the LED POWER.

With VGA NEW, it now links all LEDs, POWER, HD, BATTERY etc., but does not display and COLLERS NOT TURN!

And the test WITHOUT VGA, All LEDS connect normally, COOLERS spin at 100% speed and obviously does not give any screen.

I do not know how to proceed, for me the problem must be the motherboard.

I hope someone can help me to proceed, even did a video for you to see the situation:

    Sorry my BAD ENGLISH

    Hey and welcome.

Do the fans turn on 100% after about 15 sec when you turn on the computer or right away ? Cant hear in the video.
I bought a notebook with the same symptoms. The last owner said that it turned off when doing a GPU benchmark test and after that did not boot. I bought a new GPU aswell and it did not start. Same as in your video right after power pluged in it started on its own and did nothing. The HDD did spin up but no image and after 15 -20 sec the fans whent crazy.

I bought a new motherboard and that fixed the problem. Also the GPU-s were OK as after i got the new motherboard i tested both of them. So if you get a new mobo you might be able to sell one of the GPU-s.

Also did you try a power drain ? (remove the battery + the bios battery on the board) ?

    Best of luck
    Hope you get it working.

Edit: The bad part about the JH is that in order to know what is bad you have to swap both of the component :( it might be the VGA to but if its new and all the precautions were taken when shiping the parcel then it has to be the mobo and not the VGA.

    Thanks for answering

Exactly that, after about 15 sec they start to turn, I think it's the motherboard too.

+1 vote for the motherboard, specifically the northbridge on the mobo causing issues.

I just repaired my G73 JH , replaced the motherboard and had the EXACT same problem you had, EXACT. I have bad news, your video card is toast and needs to be replaced, I put a new one in mine and its running perfect. Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
