Hi there guys, I wanted to ask about wifi cards, you see I have a router that can handle Wireless N 300Mbps and stock atheros card can go only upto 150 Mbps, so I was wondering if the intel 6200 or 6205 cards would be compatible? Like plug and play?

Plus I would like to ask your opinion if it is worth the upgrade? Does it really have good impact?

You want the 6200 - plug and play just install the driver from Chastity driver reference.

Supports Wifi N, drops less, better connection and signal for me from a lot further away and also my video streams to my tv much faster.

    For a fiver? Bargain upgrade!

Totally worth the upgrade, and i can vouch for it being PnP. Well, you have to uninstall the Atheros driver and Install the Intel. I do get wicked throughput on 5GHz too.

You could check electronics stores in the Philippines, otherwise eBay will be your best bet. There's always a chance you'll end up with an ES, but even that is better than the AR9285 if you ask me.

How do you know if you have an ES?

How about that link that I setup, think that would be a good bet? And there's not much electronic stores that carry laptop parts in my area. XD My G73 was bought in Canada, its not likely i'll find high end laptop parts here, ebays my best bet.

Sorry for double post but I had to ask another question, should I get the INTEL 622AN.HMWWB- WIFI LINK 6200 here : Ebay or the Intel Wifi Link 6200 AGN 622ANHMW here : Ebay.

The difference is, 622AN.HMWWB (with bluetooth) and 622ANHMW (w/o bluetooth). Is there any other difference than bluetooth from the 2 cards? And doesn't the G73JH have it's own bluetooth separate from the Atheros AR9285 card? Which means if I get the 622ANHMW, I'd still have bluetooth right?

Yeah, the JH has it's own bluetooth and besides, users have reported problems with the 6205 because of the included bluetooth. Get the 6200.

Its both 6200, thats why I was asking, which one to get, the one without bluetooth or the one with it? Which did you get?

If both descriptions say 6200, then one of them is wrong. True the wi-fi radio on both is that of the 6200, but it should be called 6205. I got the one with no BT by the way.
