I need to know if there is a way I can fix my ASUS. you know like do it your self.

Here is what happen str8 to the point, wile I was watching a movie and I try to hit the fn and f9 keys but I hit the Fn and F7, psss no problem right i hit them again on the monitor comes back on, but after that in a few seconds the computer started working on something else i could feel it, then the video stopped and the screen when black again I was like (btw i was watching a horror movie).
and you can hear the computer working like if you hit the hibernation button or something like that and then it turn off.
The weird part its that the front lights dose not show anything now they don't show that the computer its charging or plugged in. the charger its working and was working wile in the movie. it was a complete shutdown of everything.

Same problem like this guy had
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/505356-my-g73jh-a1-will-not-turn-help-me.html
but he dose not tell how to fix the problem

any of you have any ideas?

ho and btw i had try removing the battery cleaning the fans holding the power-button for 30 secs the reset button on the back everyting simple i could think of.

Mine has been nothing but rock solid, even though it is an A2, the motherboard is the same across all G73JHs. I'd say you just got unlucky or there was a bad batch and your laptops are part of that batch. I seem to recall newegg had a bad batch of G series laptops at one point.

Any ideas on how to fix my comp ?
It's very disappointing buying a $1500 ASUS just to see it die the way it did.
    It's leaving a bad taste.

    OK problem resolved
    so simple
after tiring many options and before going to the last resort removing the bios battery, I have a friend with an asus so i visit him and use the charger

That is it, for some reason mine die even though the block of the charger its green and I have a surge protector and a battery, it seems that asus chargers are not that good.

well problem solve hope this help some one in the future.

Well, it is possible that the jack of the charger was damaged somehow. They aren't the most sturdy ones and the way the plug is made means that there is more force applied to it in most situations compared to an angled plug which makes it easier for the adapter's jack to break.

The Targus APA05US works just fine APA05EU if you're in Europe. You need something with the same voltage ±5V and equivalent or higher amperage.
