Hi there! Some of you might have noticed or some of you might not have this problem but when you run dxdiag do you see this:

    Notice the DDI Version: 10.1

Well this annoyed me as dxdiag reads the 5870MR as a DirectX 10.1 (little things annoy me :p )

After searching around it seems that it does incorrectly display this and theres a hotfix for that here: Microsoft Support

On the page, click on "View and request hotfix downloads" link around the upper left side of the webpage. Follow the instructions until Microsoft emails you the hotfix. Read the email as it contains some instructions.

After Installing the hotfix, I now have this:

    DDI Version: 11

YES! Little thing solved! Lol, this is for those who get annoyed at the little things.

OK, the MS Support article says this is a reporting error only and hardware functionality is not impacted. Also states unless this is causing a serious impact wait for the next full update rather than the hotfix.

    I think I'll pass.

    Interesting find tho.

    Cheers,
