I know it works because it works when its plugged into the desktop. I've also ran tests on it and everything checks out okay. ASUS G73JH Modded BIOS 213 Modded vBIOS for 5870 Any ideas?

Edit: Forgot to mention it shows in device manager but not under drives in "Computer".

Is the drive set up with GPT? What kind of interface are you using on the desktop and laptop to connect the drive? What version of windows are you running?

It should show up in diskmgmt.msc, but may be "unrecognized" for a number of reasons. Post more detail.

It used to recognize it fine. It's connected using the USB 3.0 Cable that came with it. The drive was formatted using NTFS and I'm not sure about GPT.
