    Hi,
The issue is : no more ADSM encryption/decryption with 211 BIOS.

I post here to know if other people have had the same problem. I got help from ASUS technicians but after the advice of reinstalling ATK driver and ADSM software (without success), they told me to send back my laptop.

I updated my BIOS to the 211 version and now the files cannot be encrypted/decrypted with ADSM anymore.

The ASUS Data Security Manager only emits the following error message:
"Le BIOS actuel ou le pilote ATK ne supporte pas le programme, veuillez mettre à jour le BIOS ou le pilote ATK".
My translation: "The current BIOS or the ATK driver doesn't support this program, please update the BIOS or the ATK driver".

But the worst is that after many repair setup run of the ATK driver and ADSM software (from the support.asus.com/download/download.aspx for Win7 64bits) I lost my profile!

Desktop lost is the smaller consequence. For each application, it is as if it was the first time I launch it. No more email data in Thunderbird (no more server configured). The Windows vault is not only empty but also add into it is disabled.

Does the ADSM encryption tool work for the people who updated their BIOS until the 211?

    Best regards,
    Yves

Downgrading to the 209 BIOS did not fix the issue.
I'll send the ASUS to the repair site.
I'm sorry because it was working very well before this BIOS upgrade and I spent time installing applications, setting an Ubuntu dual boot and so on.
    Thanks for your help.

    Asus Support reinstalled Windows.
It's funny that they did not reinstall the ADSM crypting application.
I reinstalled it and... ADSM crypting application WORKS with BIOS 211!

But after some system automatic updates, Windows Live requested to be uninstalled so that its upgrade could be done and... once the new Windows Live was installed, the ADSM crypting application failed again like before.
Then I suspect the Windows Live uninstallation process to remove some useful library to ADSM crypting application. I think I saw the "dot Net" strings appear while the Windows Live uninstallation running...
I'm only happy the BIOS version is not the issue.
