I have a few questions regarding the topic, I'm kinda new to Blu-Ray Drives so I don't know how it works:

    1) Will the Blu-Ray Drive on the A1 be able to burn DVDs?

    2) If so does it support Dual Layer Disc Read and Write?

    3) Does it have Lightscribe Technology?
    :D

    4X Blu-Ray Reader / 8X DVDRW/CDRW Super Multi Combo Drive, so:

    1. Yes
    2. Not sure... no?
    3. No.

As a signoff, I don't have that drive to check, but to my knowledge there isn't currently a blu-ray player/burner that has lightscribe.

That was just a little extra feature that I wanted, it kinda looks nice when you lightscribe yknow XD. The most important part for me would be Dual Layer Support, As I backup a lot of my files on Dual Layer Discs

I've been able to burn DL DVD on the Blu-ray drives I've added to my ASUS laptops. Most models should be fine.

    Cheers,
