    Hi guys,

I just wanna ask, which is better, ASUS G73JH-A1 or ASUS G73JW-A1.
I just bought ASUS G73JH-A1 to B&H and I received it this month of September 03, sadly i return it back to B&H this 7 of September because it has a defect,( YouTube - Brand New Asus G73JH-A1 sound issue ) now the notebook is on its way going to the B&H, They give me an option if I can refund or exchange.

If ASUS G73JW-A1 is better than ASUS G73JH-A1, Im going to refund my money and Im going to buy the ASUS G73JW-A1 or any advice?

    Thanks in advance.
    More Power!!!

Man this is a tough one. Honestly, I still love the 5870 over the 460m, to be honest, but I am starting to warm to the 460m more and more, even though I thought I never would. I am not sure what to tell you, to be honest. Are there any pro reviews of the JW series yet?

Yeah bro, 1toppc.com has reviews on it; so does xoticpc.com. I would DEFINITELY pick the g73jw, as it's graphics card will improve with newer drivers. But besides that, even though the 5870 has better benchies, the 460m performs better than the 5870 in a lot of games.

Other reasons why besides the better GPU:
2 button touch pad unlike the fail 1 button on the 73jh
Much better cooling temps, 78C max on load, whereas the 73jh was about 90C
No problems out of the box most likely, no need to flash your bios.

To me, the new GPU is worth the extra money, but they also fixed the issues with the keyboard, GSOD, and even put in a new cooling system to bring the temps way down.

Oh and did I mention USB 3.0?

There's a bunch of new video's on uTube you can check out as well. A look over the new model and also a couple of game tests from several resellers.

The JW has the same cooling system, just did a better pasting job. My full load temps are in the low 70C's when gaming. The 90C avg temp on the HD5870M is a misnomer. Other makers have similar results with their 5870M's.

My max temps non overlcocked are on the low 70Cs, even under 70Cs depending on ambience temp!

And I haven't seen any game besides Dirt2 being favored by the nvidia GPU, only in DX11. In the current MW2 tests an Crysis tests, I go from passing a bit to curbstomping.

when overclocked, my GPU gets about 30% faster or more, and my max temp is under 80C too.

460m is only better with DX11 right now, but it isn't really fast enough to use it (neither is the HD5870m). On DX9 and DX11, the HD5870 is faster.

With drivers 460m will improve, but so will the HD5870m, specially on DX11 with the supposed Cat 11 change.
