    Hello,

I have come here asking for help because there's a freak issue with my notebook's GPU which I can't seem to fix.

I have the machine for just over a month and some 10 days ago I have first noticed the GPU fan kicking in after ~10 minutes of playing anything. The temperature climbs to ~95°C before that happens. The increased fan speed brings it down to ~90, then the cycle repeats.

Now it did not heat up this much at all before that. I keep the notebook on a flat surface, vents aren't blocked. The other funky thing is that my GPU monitoring widget says that the GPU load is 0% all the time. I just noticed this 2 days ago and I know for certain that it did go up to 95-100% in 3D applications before.

Performance didn't drop however, just the increase in temperature.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

It's a known issue that the GPU Thermal paste will degrade over time. If the temps get uncomfortable for you, you will need to have the unit disassembled in order to repaste the GPU.

I actually fixed it. Went to the device manager and updated the driver via the Windows automatic tool... Now the GPU usage correctly shows at the widget and the temperature doesn't go over ~82°C
