I recently purchased the ASUS laptop above and am loving it, except for one major problem.
I seem to trigger tons of keyboard shortcuts without realizing it. These are NOT sticky keys. I have turned those off. In fact, I have turned off all the options in the keyboard area of the ease of use center.
The most common villain seems to be a triggering of the alternate language settings for the keyboard. Once that happens, I typically have to close the program or Firefox and reopen it. I can't figure out how to turn it back.
Other shortcuts I trigger often include opening a new window in FF, making a tab into its own window, opening my browser history, or just closing things at random.
What kind of shortcuts could be causing this? Has anyone else experienced these issues?

My wife was always pissed because she would write and email then it would go to Chinese. alt+ left shift will do this if you push shift and accidental hit alt. You push them again and it goes back to English.By keys are pretty touchy. Funny cuz ppl always complain about the keys. We need a list of shortcut keys

Ok, well at least I know how to turn it back now.

You can go into Control Panel and remove the alternative language.
