    Hello everyone,

can anybody tell me if it is possible to use the Asus G73JH (ATI MR HD 5870) as a 3D movie player on a Sony 3D TV?

I already have the notebook for a couple of months, and now I'm buying the Sony KDL-46HX800 3D TV. So now I need to know if it is possible to use the laptop as a 3D player for 3D movies and maybe also 3D games? I mean here movies and games played from the HDD not from BR.

    Thanks.

I'm not sure if the HDMI from the JH supports 3d, I know the new JW does

I do not have the answer.

But a Play Station 3 will do what you want with that TV.
    Just a heads up...

The JH can do 3D movies on a TV that supports it, and using a player that does too. Also need a 1.3a HDMI cable; 1.2 cables do not support the bandwidth.

Sorry for necro-bumping a thread, but rather than make a new one, i figured i would post the question here.

We just received the 3D Kit for our Mitsubishi 60638, but have no real source to test it, other than my laptop. Just to verify - as long as i have the software to do it (from Arcsoft or PowerDVD 10), the HDMI port on the G73JH _in my case, best buy version) will be enough to output the 3D to the receiver? We are good on cables.. it really is just the source we are lacking.
