Whenever I unplug the ac, my BF3 slowed down to about half fps. I search around the internet and found 2 things. One CPU parked itself but after I unparked all of them it still lags. Another reason I found is that Nvidia underclock itself to save battery. I know that it is bad to play intense game on battery mode but I just want to know what are the factor that caused the FPS to go down ? GPU, CPU ?
Thank You

You answered your own question: All of the above.

I see so they cut both CPU and GPU ?

It depends on what your power options are set to, and you can customize them to not throttle you CPU or downclock you GPU while on battery. I would not recommend gaming on just battery because drawing that much power out of your battery in a short amount of time will reduce its lifespan.

I see thank you for the warning but I tried changing everything to the same as plug in and it still lags, from some of the reading i heard that nvidia have a built-in in bios that I cant change it for when it would cut performance

That, gaming laptops were never meant to play demanding games on battery regardless of how ironic it is. In any case, it is something you can change if you want to, but like oticeps, i don't recommend it.
