So I am thinking about buying a ASUS G73JW-3DE heres the build I came up with. What I would like to know is, is this a over all good build for Gaming and should I go with the:

    2x 500GB (w/ 4GB SSD Memory) Seagate XT 7200RPM NCQ Hybrid 32MB Cache (Serial-ATA II 3GB/s)

or the way my build has it and go

    1x 500GB (w/ 4GB SSD Memory) Seagate XT 7200RPM NCQ Hybrid 32MB Cache (Serial-ATA II 3GB/s and
    1x 500GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache Buffer (Serial-ATA II 3GB/s)

The 2nd one is $85 cheaper and I dont see where it would improve speed if its used manly as a data drive for music and movies.

The hybrid drive is not going to help much on the second drive if you use it mainly as a media data drive. You would be accessing too great a variety of files for the hybrid to optimize load patterns. If you want a hybrid drive, use it as your primary drive only. Better yet, since the laptop has two bays and no raid support, get an SSD for your primary if you can afford it. You'll see a greater performance increase. In my opinion, hybrids are best for laptops with only one drive bay.
