Should I get ASUS G73JW-A1 with Nvidia GTX 460M or ASUS G73JH-X5 with ATI 5870 ?
Currently the 5870 is a bit faster in most games. However, the drivers for the 5870 are very mature as the card has been out for about 6 months now. 5870 also has some crash problem with Asus Bios. On the other hand, the GTX460M just came out and the drivers are actually still in the beta phase. Once the drivers are perfected, expect the GTX460M to outperform the 5870 in most games. And don't forget that ATI cards don't have CUDA, hardware tesselation capability, Physx, or 3D Vision.

Obviously the G73JW

And your gaming experience doesn't diminish without any of those.
Tesselation comparisons between the two cards is relatively invalid since both can't tesselate at an acceptable rate despite the claims. Basically an e-appendage brag on the fact that the 460m performs better than the 5870 by 8-10%. So null point.
JW still though. Since it runs cooler out of the box. It still has the keyboard lag some users report, and issues with USB3.0 -
From my experience i would say JH. I havent had one single problem with my G73 and performance and driver support has been great. Came with 211 bios, I removed some bloatware and installed the latest ATI drivers. Been going strong ever since. Only thing JW has over JH is usb 3 support. Course your results may vary. =-p
ASUS G73JW-A1 or G73JH-X5 ?????
