    Hey guys,

    I need some help with my ASUS G73SW notebook. I bought the gaming notebook which always has a problem that always occurs when I play games. The screen flashes and I get the following notice "Display Driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 275.33 stopped responding and has successfully recovered." I've attempted updating the latest drivers from both the Nvidia website and the ASUS website, but neither has solved the problem. I've also contacted ASUS support who told me to update the driver and load BIOS default which actually exacerbated the problem and ended up with a black screen instead of recovering successfully. I've been relegated to using my $2000 notebook for boring mundane tasks and watching game replays on YouTube... Please help!

    First of all, you can try to unistall and clean the drivers completely and reinstall them.

    - go ti nvidia.com and Download 280.26 whql verde notebook driver;
    - Download Driver Sweeper and CCleaner;
    - unistall your current driver in add remove panel in windows;
    - don't reboot if it ask to. Instead run Driver Sweeper, check Nvidia Display/Nvidia Chipset, hit Analyze and Clean. After it finished, Don't reboot yet;
    - launch CCleaner, select Registry Cleaner, scan for problems then repair them all
    - now you can reboot.

    After the machine has rebooted windows should install a standard VGA card. At that point, run and install 280.26 drivers Downloaded before.
    Install them and reboot.
    Now see if it does keep on crash.
    Also you need to monitor your gpu temperature: you can either use MSI afterburner (which I advice) or EVGA precision.
    Download either one, launch it and let it run in background. When the crash occurs, quickly switch to it and check what temp on the graphs it reports.

    Besides man I dont understand why you so negative, first I have yet to see a $2000 g73sw, because if you paid 2k for it then you've been scammed. That laptop can go as higher as 1,690$, but not 2k.
    Second, if it's a g73sw, it means that is rather new, so theres only a thing to do because you have WARRANTY: RMA.
    it's in your rights and they are forced to apply the RMA if the product is defective.
    So don't be desperate, try what I said, otherwise call or contact Asus and ask for an RMA pronto.
