night everyone, btw i need some advice, i have ASUS G73SW and GTX460M on it. and i've been thinking of for upgrading my gpu to the lastest model, like GTX 970M, or at leat 870M, but i didn't know if it would fit my chasis or not, anyone have advice for this? or maybe the lastest model possible to upgrade is just 770M? i'm interested on this model " http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nvidia-GeFor...item3ced3e125a " , is there anyone had successfull upgrade with newer gpu than 770M? like 8xx series or 9xx series? thanks

I would say yes but with asus its never for sure so only way is to try. I have 2 970m but have enough troubles to get them to work in aw 18 and can't be bothered to try for now. Maybe later when I find more time and get that itch :)

It's certainly not a plug and play mod that's for sure ;)

I found some time to open and test 970m from clevo and card posts with message that valid mxm structure is not found and 30 seconds delay. So it is basicaly same as with kepler gpu's as long as you have asus vbios or can modify original vbios to not check for mxm implementation in laptops bios 970m/980m should work. As asus has only version with 3gb vram it would need modding to make use of all 6gb vram that clevo card has plus I couldnt find it anywhere on internet so couldnt check how card boot with it.
Hope this has encouraged thoose thinking of upgrading to maxwell.

The vbios is integrated into the system bios now I THINK.
