    Dear NotebookReview members,

Since a couple days my G73 keeps randomly switching between DC and Battery mode (totally random).
I checked the cable and the DC input, nothing happens when i rotate, bend or move the
cable or plug. Could this be a failing power supply, or do i have too much hardware in my G73Sw.
The default came with 6GB's of RAM and 1 750GB HDD. I upgraded my system to 16GB's of RAM,
2x Crucial M4 SSD's and replaced my slot drive with the original harddisk.

    Kind regards,

    Rob

Have you tried using it when the battery isn't in the laptop, you'll be able to pinpoint whether the issue is the PSU or (the battery or mobo).

I tested my notebook on full load in three different setups:
    - Battery
    - Battery & PSU
    - PSU

When i remove my battery and keep my PSU plugged in, it toggles but it doesn't shutdown.
Could this be a driver failure with Windows 8? (ATKOSD)
