Hi all , I apologize for my English , I use translator.
I have a problem with the model G74SX

I bought it as used, allegedly demonstration piece in very good condition
It annoyed me to play Battlefield 3 , I found that about too slow processor / core i5 / místama was loaded at 100 % and at that time my game twitching .

So I got the i7 into this model and gave the service had it replaced.

The problem with the game all the time, but a little different. The processor has a 100 % coming, so chasing but my game runs a lot worse than a friend on the same Toshiba HW

Researching , I found that the game does not use graphics.

When I play my fps flying between 12 - 60fps

I find that when there are few FPS graphics are utilized only to about 25-30% when load jumps , leaps and FPS, and by driving graphics rather less workload , higher only occasionally starts.

So if the graphics were utilized as the game is beautifully smooth , but the graphics are unknown reason Flake.

The strange thing is that I was falling out of the game and sound.

But maybe Crysis 2 goes as it should , the graphics are utilized at 70 percent or more and the game runs fairly well on the laptop ....

I tried to give a clean system and drivers from the DVD gave what was to NB, so that naistalovalo everything on DVD's.

I 've tried other versions of the graphics driver from Nvidia vebu , but it does not work, it seems time to time better, and then it will fall again . I tried to put the latest bios on the board.

In 3D Mark Vantage I graf.score 2258 points, which is responsible.
    So currently I have a configuration :
    i7 2670QM , 8GB RAM / originally only 4, 4 buy / a GTX 560M with 3Gb VRAM

    Thanks for the advice

This is very strange. The only thing that I can think of is that Battlefield 3 starts without using the GTX-560m gpu.
The score in 3dmark vantage is very low, but atypical. If you were only running the iGPU (Intel HD), the score should have been around 1000. At 2258 it is clear the GPU is running, but very poorly.
What are your temperatures for the GPU?
It might be severely throttling and that could be responsible for the poor performance.

I'd advise looking at both the CPU and GPU, listing up benchmark links on vantage (which is pretty CPU sensitive by the way) and graphs in MSI afterburner and Core temp to see temperatures and usages.

    It was not vantalge 3DMark , but 3DMark 11

Temperatures are fine , GPU has up to 50 degrees

The point is that it does not use the video card game . The workload is between 30-70%

But maybe Crysis 2 or Dead space 2 by resampling correctly and functioning properly.

You are using drivers from the DVD now? Have you tried using the most up-to-date drivers from the internet and for the GPU using the most recent nvidia drivers?
Otherwise maybe the GPU is for some reason not receving enough power?

I tried several drivers , the latest from Nvidia, the elder of the asus website, even those from the DVD.
The use of the graphics card that has the effect that it 's always used a bit differently, but it is never right.
Energy should be enough , scanning by the power , the power profile to High performance.

When I turn off and turn on the battlefield 3 crysis 2 everything works as it should.

I have heard that a recent patch/update to Battlefield 3 is causing graphical utilization problems. If your NVidia driver works fine with other games/applications, then you may need to wait for BF3 to be updated (or, remove the latest updates from game).

Hopefully the game developers release a fix soon. :)

Try uninstalling Battlefield 3, and then re-install it, but do not apply updates to it. See how it runs.

It's not exactly the same. Usually, there is different BIOS or chipset components from one manufacturer to another.

    Resolved .

It causes the processor saving function in combination with a Asus board.

    Unreasonably reduces processor frequency.
Just download the program and set the Throttle Stop everything works.
