    ASUS G74SX-A1 Fan Vents?

    So I opted to get the G74SX-A1 and it's a fine piece of machine, that's for sure. Very solid and strong build. What caught my attention the most though...

    I found something a bit clever and odd at the same time though, there are no vents on the bottom of the computer, only the back. Does this mean... I can... *gasp* leave it on my lap when I use it without closing the vents and risking overheating? Should I still keep it on top of a cooling pad/non cloth surface?

    And also, is the G73 built the same way without vents on the bottom?

    HOW DOES IT WORK?! My mind is blown.

    Look under the LCD panel for the in-take vents :)

    Yes, you can put the G74 on a blanket and it it should be good, as long as the back vent isn't blocked.
