Like clockwork, 60-90 minutes after I start gaming, the system freezes up hard lock. has a grey screen, have to hard shut down the system and then it reboots fine like nothing is wrong.
has a GTX 1060 and 7700HQ
System doesn't seem to be throttling, it gets super hot, but doesn't ever hit 90c on the GPU.
Is this dead GPU? Should I replace the memory thermal pads?
Anybody ever seen anything similar?

Grey screen of death (GSOD) has various causes, you might try tweaking your clock/voltage settings, or updating BIOS/VBIOS if one is available. Could just be down to a hardware problem in the end too.

Have you done any stress testing on the GPU?
