    Hi, all.

Title pretty much sums up my questions.

I just made an impulse buy at COSTCO for one of these but there is pretty much nodda on the internet for this guy other than basic specs. I was wondering if it is upgradable (memory, etc) for one thing.

Comments are welcome but please, not "take it back" comments. This is much better than what I am currently using and the price was right...$1149. Thanks.

    Mark

Correction: The COSTCO model is GL703GE-IS74

    I got one from: https://www.ebay.com/itm/CUK-ASUS-R...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Reason: cheaper upgrades and no taxes to pay.

I have mine undervolted to -.160mv on AC and -.150mv on battery. Hitting 1265 on multicore cinebench r15.

Really good laptop aside from rare noisy touchpad (after bios update to 308) it's been less of an issue.

For upgrades: 500 NVME and 1tb sshd.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hi there,

I am thinking about getting a GL703GE, but i like a quiet laptop when i do casual work (browsing, light office work). Is there a way to adjust settings so it keeps quite when not under load?

Is it too loud as a laptop?

    Thx already

In rog gaming center you have:
    - Silent (super quiet. Processor is running at 35 watt which means, no fans required)
    - Balanced (maxes at 45 watt, light fan expected if watching hd video or compiling/video processing)
    - Overdrive (maxes at 60watt for 28 seconds before going back to 45 watt. Expect fans to be loud here)
