I saw someone on the forums post a link to this earlier, but I cannot for the life of me find it, and I can't seem to get it navigating through the ASUS website either. Does anyone have this link? Thank you very much in advance.

Edit: Sorry. Found the thread that mentioned it. Link is here: ASUS Service (North America), not that it's any use. I've been on hold for half an hour already, I doubt it actually works.

Edit #2: Got through after 45 minutes, here's the chatlog:

NBTSD-Rodel01> Hello. Thank you for contacting ASUS Notebook Technical Support. How may I assist you today?
Guest> Hi there. Just wondering: are you guys working on the keyboard lag / touchpad issues?
NBTSD-Rodel01> What is the RMA number?
Guest> I have not RMAed my laptop yet.
Guest> I have heard you guys do not have a fix for the issue yet, there is no sense in me RMAing the laptop for 2-3 weeks.
Guest> Is there a driver for the keyboard / touchpad currently in development, as promised by Gary Key?
NBTSD-Rodel01> Keyboard lag/touchpad erratic movement is software related.
    Guest> Is there a fix?
NBTSD-Rodel01> Make sure no virus scan or WINDOWS update is running in the background while running other applications
NBTSD-Rodel01> You disable automatic WINDOWS Update and virus scan to resolve this issue
Guest> It has nothing to do with that... it's a known driver issue with Synaptics and touchpad compatibility.
Guest> The only way to fix keyboard lag is to disable the touchpad through BIOS.
Guest> so as far as I understand you guys have no development going on to resolve this issue?
Guest> http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/531373-asus-updates-official.html You can see your head of tech, Gary Key, right here stating that it's a driver problem
NBTSD-Rodel01> This is an isolated case, update the driver, BIOS ATK ACPI utility
Guest> Isolated case? This happens to 30-40% of the G73JH units... Why would Gary Key be working with Microsoft, AMD, and Synaptics to resolve an issue for an isolated case?
Guest> I've already updated everything in the system from the official ASUS Drivers website.
    NBTSD-Rodel01> I don't think I can help you further
    Guest> Great. Thanks.

So...what's the point? You expected something different?

I have worked with Asus before on side projects.
    This sound about right.

The Chat Techs will be the last to know about a fix for sure.

This forum will know 4th once a fix is in place.

Asus is a Huge machine and things take time and personal efforts to get done.
The means Gary is having to ask for favores with all the parties involved.
He is most lilkey talking directly with engineers who are trying to do something on the side.
As no one wants to pay for a fix like this...

It sucks... but this is how it works....

It's too bad it hasn't been fixed yet, but if there haven't been any updates on Gary Key's thread, it's hard to expect the ASUS support tech in the trench to know what's going on. Give it some time. Also, you had an aggressive exchange with that person, which wouldn't be the right approach. Put yourself in the shoes of someone who has to help angry users all day and has to deal with supporting all the different ASUS models.

respectfully sir , i disagree with you. These ppl don't do anything unless you scream at them to be frank. Usually i don't do stuff like this but with hp , i had to scream at them to help me because they were blantantly doing nothing.. hopefully i don't have such a problem with asus.. unlike hp their laptop has been perfect for me.

    Thanks
    Leopard 2..

P.S : not trying to offend anyone.. just my 2 pieces of advice.
