    Hi Guys,
I have just received my new G53SX-XN1 day before yesterday. Once i have received it i have installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit as the machine came with drfault windows 7 home pre. Once all the drivers and utilities are being installed i ran 3D Mark06 and received the score of 11428. But in notebook checker and someone in this forum said me that i will be getting around 16000 points. I ran the test with full hd mood. Can someone tell me if the score is acceptable or i need to tune up my GPU.

Would really help to diagnose your problem if you could post the link to your score.

At a guess it is most likely just the Power4Gear settings not being set to performance and will be related to the CPU score not performing as the CPU will only use 100% load if it is set to high performance otherwise the turbo will downclock depending on load and heat.

Make sure you have the power plan and P4G set to high performance and the CPU set to min/max 100% and that you are running on AC power and your GPU clocks are set to 3D Performance.

Thanks for your reply. I'll run the banchmark again now with the setting of high performance by power4gear and will try to create a link.

I was eating an Indian takeaway at my brothers (madras) while watching spurs play watford in an awful game!

    Anyhow... :D

Hold on fella you just said at 1280x1024 you got 14047? That is the result you should be comparing to what resolution are you getting the 11k result for? 1080p?

3DMark Benchmarks are compared to a resolution of 1280x1024 and 1280x720 for 3DMark11. Your CPU score in that result looks fine, your GPU score however looks quite low. What drivers are you using? Have you been into the Nvidia control panel to make sure you have everything set to performance.

I have tried asus default driver and also tried with latest driver from nvidia website. each time i did fresh reinstall my OS. i always have run the test with full hd mood and thus i got 11k. if i run with 1280x1024. i got 14k. in this all about 3d mark06. i didn't change nvidia control panel setting. by default whatever it was it was. by the way. my WEI score gave me rating of 7.1 for both aero performance and gaming performance. how is it?

Could you run the test with HWINFO sensors runnin the background and post a screenshot of it after the test has completed.

The section we want to see if the GPU section.

No need to run 3Dmark tests in full HD as that is not the default setting to compare to stick with 1280x1024 and also try running Vantage and 3dmark11.

Ok once i get back home i will install that HWINFO sensor soft and then run the test again. By the way...is 7.1 for aero/gaming performance normal from winfows experience index. I thought i will b getting at least 7.7. My previous machine with 230m used to give me 6.5.

Ummm no I get 7.7 from my high end 6990M see my sig. You should be seeing around 7.2 I would have though 7.3 max with an overclock.

I think your results are pretty much right.

So you think 7.1 is alright. when i first run the WEI scoring i got 7.5 for the processor. but after that i always getting 7.4..sucks!!!

7.1 is too low compare to the graphics card.

7.1 is not too low for that GPU its not that new anymore and is only a mid range class 1 GPU. I think my old 5870M which was slightly better only got 7.2. If you overclock it you should see 7.2/7.3 but the CPU will just depend how high the turbo is running when you get the WEI score.

Also windows experience index is not a great way to compare performance its pretty flimsy.

Mate read my above posts do not run it in Full HD there is no point you cannot compare results to Full HD people only use 1280x1024.

Your temps are fine so I dont think you need to worry it is running correctly, you will yield better results by overclocking.

Nealloy, your score of 14000 is fine. That's even a bit higher than what you can expect on stock clocks. Don't run your benchmark in 1080p. Your score will be lowered, and thus will be meaningless. The 14000 is your score, and it's good.

No problem, the 460M overclocks like a pro so once you start playing with it you should jump up a good 500-1000 pts on benchmarks.

Man I am either too tired or getting old if you have the G53SX you have the 128bit 560M so yes yes your score is definetely right.
