Anyone have any info on how to solve the following:
Display crashes when installing latest driver from Nvidia website. Rolled back the driver, system works on the Win 10 default adaptor but not on the GTX 970m card and will not identify my 2 monitors.

    Have tried:
    • Uninstalling all Nvidia stuff then reinstalling through Nvidia webisite = system crashed.
    • Disabling windows auto updates = system crashed when using the Nvidia drive

I upgraded to W10 last night to give it a try, I didn't update the Nvidia driver and everything is fine (353.54). Geforce Experience is telling me to download the W10 driver, I might try and see if I have the same issues as you do.

So it's doing it on both internal and external?

Internal is the laptop screen, and external is an external monitor through VGA/DVI/HDMI/DP connectivity.

First, you will need to have Intel HD Graphics driver installed.
    Second, try installing Nvidia driver.
If it's not letting you to install it, then unzip the Nvidia driver exe file using 7zip, go to device manager and force driver install by going into the device property of nvidia GPU.
Once force installed, then re-execute the Nvidia driver exe file, see if it loads.

Always worth checking the intel driver if you are having issues with an optimus based machine and GPU drivers :) I'm glad it's working again.
