I just recently received an ASUS G73JH-A1 gaming laptop. Since then, I've only installed the included driver CD, Halo: Combat Evolved and Firefox. After those, I tried to install Steam. Steam successfully installs, then launches and attempts to update. When it's finished, it closes and tries to launch Steam's main screen.. then the computer locks up. I am forced into reboot. Anyone know why?

Go to Creative Audio Center and hit the CMS-3D button. Enable it.
That will fix you up. -
what does this exactly do and what has happened with all the creative issues? Can u use the creative or not?

You can use Creative with no problem. I don't remember the exact reason why this fixes the issue, all I know is that it does, and it makes your audio sound better too.

Updating his Realtek drivers avoids a crash with Steam
ASUS and Steam
