    ASUS g51jx-a1 freezing

    Hi guys. I am new here and am a newb. My g51jx-a1 would freeze when i run certain apps/programs. Like i tried to play pokerstars and absolute poker. It will let me start it up, then freeze. i lost like 15 bucks in tourney i registered for that i couldn't even play one hand. I dont even know where to start, and anyone's help would greatly be appreciated. thank you in adavance.

    Hi tuzongvang,

    Did you encounter this freezing episode only recently? It's hard to say what's causing the freezing since there's an many potential causes (overheating, software compatibility, hardware failure). I'd probably just perform a clean install and start anew with the latest drivers from the Asus website. If you're still experiencing the freezes, I'd then check the ram and hard drive for errors. If all else fails, you'd probably want to send your laptop to Asus for repairing.

    i encountered this problem the day i got it. to test the laptop i tried to installed a game that won't be pushing the laptop hard (ages of the empire). it would freeze once it started. i ignored it. now i tried to run these apps and it would just freeze.im pretty sure its not overheating. everything else is fine. It would also be a big pain in the and costly for me to send it back and forth to get fixxed as I am overseas right now.
