ASUS g73jh random lag (not keyboard lag?) + wierd noise

Hello!

I recently bought the g73 with these specs MPX.no - ASUS G73JH 17.3" Full HD, and I can't say that it's been all fun and joy.
I'm going to list my problems, please bear with me if these issues have been covered elsewhere:

1. I experienced the keyboard lag and called support and was told to download the synaptics drivers, the keyboard filter "thingy" and to update the BIOS to 211 , all of which I did.
The keyboard lag is nonexistent when I try the typing test (Astronaut) found on typingtest.com but it may appear ( and did appear frequently when writing this message in chrome) when I'm surfing, writing messages/typing in passwords (windows log-in,e-mail etc.) But I suddenly noticed that this lag is also present elsewhere, for instance when im scrolling down on a website, browsing in windows explorer or when I'm playing games (e.g Heroes of Might and Magic III, a game any computer produced post 2000 should have no problmes running). The lag is not present when I play Heroes of Newerth on max settings. How can this be explained? Is it possible that the keyboard isnt laggy, but the specific program/task causes problems?

2. Another issue I have experienced recently is not a problems as of now, but I think it can become one in the future, my computer is making a noise which I can't put my finger on (english is not my native language). If i were to try to explain it it would be something like when you're riding a fast boat that "jumps" on the water, making a sound when it hits the water, and then disappear when it leaves it. I don't know if you can understand what I mean by that, but I really don't know ny other way to explain it. Anyway the noise isn't very loud, and it has become more and more prominent over the last few days, I've had the computer now for about a week or two.

P.S: I have not updated my graphics driver, as I'm very confused about where to get it. I can't find the "ASUS approved" 10.1 driver and I'm not to sure about downloading it from ATI's website.

I suffer from the keyboard lag on my G50vt, so I'm very disappointed asus still haven't fixed this properly. I find that when the keyboard goes through a lag "phase" I just slow my typing down a little bit and then it all works fine
The noise, albeit you have only had the laptop a few weeks, dust is usually the heart of that noise, which I fully understand from your description! I suggest dusting your laptop fan with compressed air or the like, which will hopefully cease your noise
