Having sold my G73 with the 5870, does anyone know if ASUS has plans to put a 7970 in a G series?

I am buying after I return from my vacation and right now its a Sager or AW, or possibly Samsung if released in time.

I liked my ASUS so they have ear play, but I have not heard anything.

Will never happen. Asus are Nvidia these days they dont touch ATI for a start and they go for mid range only.

    128-192bit cards x60-x70.

Sager/clevo/AW in your case I would not go near a Samsung with a 10 foot barge pole.

Trust me, the novelty of having a GIGANTIC laptop due to the cooling system gets old really fast. Just get a normal, smaller laptop with better hardware and don't like the appearance be the deciding factor for you. You can't even see the back of the laptop when you are using it... And what you are looking at, like the keyboard and upgraded screens on a Sager are much better.
