I was wondering if theres a desktop gadget out there for monitoring temps, clock speeds, etc for the 5800 mobility series. kinda tired of opening hwinfo or gpu-z just to monitor my temps.

That would be nice to have indeed! I've seen screenshots with such gadgets for nvidia based gpus... I'll definitely check back to see if someone is aware of an ati based version as well.

wow thanks this works like a charm! unfortunately im getting 0% on the fan speeds so i guess the gadget isnt able to detect the fan properly. is there a way to resize the gadget? simple gadgets like the calendar and the cpu meter allow me to change their size. the size of this gpu gadget is kinda small for a 1080 resolution and i dont see any option to make it bigger.

The fan speed doesn't work and you can't resize. :(

Hold on, going to test another gadget and se if it works.....

I use the GPU Observer/sidebar gadget. It does show the fanspeed but I think it's off- doesn't detect low speeds.

I have the GPU Observer gadget. Only the temp (MemIO) and clock speed displays work. GPU load used to work until I installed 10.5 or 10.6 (can't remember which).

There's a gadget that comes with HWiNFO32, it's in the folder where the program is installed if you want to install and use it. The latest version reports accurate temps, fan speed and GPU load.
