I actually decided I didn't like 10.10 any more either (kept screwing up my display, looked like I was in 16-bit mode randomly, and only cleared by actually switching to 16bit color and back to 32). 10.8 never did that, so I'm sticking with it for the time.
-
10.11 has been pretty damn solid so far. I had issues with 10.10A-E where my Aero suddenly stopped working randomly and the driver suddenly stopped working. 10.11 has had none of that so I'm content.
-
same here.. zero crashes.. had a ton with 10.10 but also due to HWinfo32...
-
so how to install???? any ideas..??

I did mine last night & was having problems, too. What worked for me, oddly enough, AMD removed the download from their site. I wonder why.
Here's what I did.
1) Uninstall ATI Catalyst Install Manager under control panel>programs & features
2) Reboot in safe mode & run Driver Sweeper to take out the ATI drivers
3) Reboot & go to the AMD website under Drivers & Support & navigate to the mobility 5800 series.
*** Here's where AMD removed the only thing that worked for me***
I tried the 1.1mb Catalyst Software Suite under Packages & it wouldn't work.
I tried the Catalyst Control Center under Individual Download & it wouldn't work.
Yesterday, there was another file under Packages which I downloaded and it did work for me. I don't know why it's not there anymore, but the file was called: 10-11_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl
After I installed that, all was good. Hope this helps.
edit: One last thing I noticed too, that it only worked when I did an 'express' install of Catalyst & not a 'custom' install. -
AMD has updated the new Ati mobility driver download link.
The Catalyst Software Suite (1.1MB) for 10.11 is repaired, it downloads the driver as it should.
ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver -

I just installed this driver from 10.10e and had no issues. I chose express and used the Catalyst suite for download.
So far the drivers work great. -
Take your pick from one of these Keph: AMD Catalyst 10.11 Download & Discussion - Guru3D.com Forums
Good luck

I remember someone saying that one of the drivers showed lower GPU temp readings. Is there an application that will not use the ATI driver to read temperatures? Also, what version of the driver will have the most accurate temp reading?

Could somebody pretty please do a Vantage bench with 10.11 on stock clocks?

This new 10.11 package seems t be more unstable for me. Before I was using DNA 10.10c-1 which pretty nice results. Now I moved to official 10.11 because someone in this thread indicated this newer package improves the NFS Hot Pursuit performance. So far, it's seems to increase the performance (increasing the game's smoothness) but never keeping stable at 60 fps as desire. In SC2, yesterday night had a couple drivers restart during gameplay (but the game continued after the driver hot-restart). Finally, i had a GSOD in 10.11 after a while.
Those instabilities are not uncommon since I do not restart the laptop often. It only goes to sleep when idle, but never off. Because of this, rarely I had system freezing but solved with a cold restart or when MS release updates every tuesday. -
temps idle at 40c?? but at hwinfo shows 45c??? -
if you check all 3 temps you'll see what is happening

10.10e is newer than 10.11 if I am not mistaken just a FYI.
-
I get this weird bug with 10.10e in SC2 where the pylon powerfield and highlighted units do not show up properly.
-
This replaces some of the driver files to the most stable versions. Stable meaning that everything is fully functional. TWL did a lot of experiments and testing and found when AMD updates their driver files, sometimes some features stop working. So this is a collection of driver files that will ensure everything works. But your MLAA and the all the features of the 10.10e are unaffected.
Best of all your pylon energy fields will be fine.

10.11 is ok the power field is back. I went without it for so long that I dont know what to do now
Also minerals have these small fragments on the ground that would vanish in/out on all the 10.10's (except whql) -
This new 10.11 whql are very instable for me. Yesterday night I had driver restart in both NFSHP and SC2 and two Blue-SOD in SC2 and one white-SOD in windows when I tried to OC my VGA.
-
I've been having stuttering and freezing issues as well with NFSHP and CODBO on 10.11 whql. I'm switching back to 10.10e. @Nekki, what is your EA alias for NFSHP? We should add each other. My autolog needs some company

So, reviving a dead thread and all...
But the 10.11 seem to make my laptop run cooler. I checked with AMD GPU Tool, and that shows temps on all 3 sensors, and it is still ~10 lower for SC2.
Furmark also doesn't get particularly hot (Used to max at 92, now maxes at 62 - which I know ISN'T right ... but maybe it's not changing clocks?).
Anyways, I read that the drivers change which sensor gets read for temps .. but has anyone else noticed a real drop in temps?
Also, feel free to correct/inform me of what's really going on. -

yesterday i tested both 10.10e and 10.11 (from 10.10) and ive notticed a huge decrease on FPS while playing Dirt 2. While on 10.10 i had 33fps now i have 20fps medium. Any clue on this? maybe some configuration i need to do.
my options on Dirt 2 ar
1920x1080
4xMSAA
everything HIGH
no Vsync -
So sorry to bring this back.
But I run a second monitor.
Now I can not run it at is normal res of 1920X1080.
It add a 2 inch boarder and the picture is not as clear.
Not really sure why. My screen an Acer H243H will not let me strech it out. -
Check your Overscan options in the CCC Screen properties
-
If you go into CCC, navigate to "desktops and displays", right click on the Acer H243H's icon, choose "configure"...can you adjust scaling and/or overscan options there? -
HDMI conection.
Thank you Both Chasity and MarkS.
That fixed it... I never knew that was even possible...
Finaly, it looks right...
