With the different models of G73jh such as the X1 X2 X5 A1 A2 and now A3, i have seen alot of people have problems such as overheating and gsod. Ive search the thread didn't not find an answer, so my question is; out of all the models of G73jh which is the most reliable with the least problems?

    Thxs

They should all be the same, the G73 has a 2-3% RMA rate witch is quite low compared to the market average.

Its a popular laptop though so you see more complaints as compared to lesser sold models.

Most of them has difference on player(blu-ray & normal) , storage(capacity), accessories(backpacks & mouse). With Gsod, yes, some of them is having problem with it but updating drivers can fix it or using a specific BIOS. With overheating, I think its not true, never saw someone here complaining on overheating. The cooling system of G73 is the best(for me) on all the laptops I owned. It does what it should do. Plus, it's so quiet. With the least problems, no one knows and all of them has the same specs, so I guess if you have a good system then you'll be fine. Men, get it and you'll not regret it. G73 will rock you on gaming.

If my G73 has any problems, heat sure isn't one of them.

I overclocked my 5870m from 700 to 825 and played arkham asylum for 4 hours straight before I encountered any heat issues.

I got a grey screen and my gpu was at 105c. Then again though, I am in one of the hottest places in Canada and we regularly break 40c here. I alt tabbed out of batman for 30 seconds and everything resumed nicely (no screen of death or crash). I turned off the overdrive though, since 105 is about the limit of what the 5870m can handle.

At stock speeds, my gpu never gets over ~90, the cooling system is great.

List of extreme temperatures in Canada - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

My area is tied for second on this list... but I know that we've done better than 44.x, I remember one summer hitting 46.7, but I guess it only counts if both weather stations record it. Oysoyoos also seems low for how hot they get sometimes.

Anything over 40c just... sucks balls. At least it's a dry heat and not muggy.

Had mine for a month and a half, no problem what so ever. Even during the heat wave in Montréal, the core GPU temp never went over 87C at 34 ambient temps, memIO never went to 100. Basically if you have overheating problems, you got a faulty unit.

If you want to have the mouse and backpack, i suggest you get one of the A models. For me, the price difference between the -A2 and -X1 was about the price of the mouse/backpack and extra hard drive.

The A1 has the Hannstar FullHD screen, which is better than the LG.
