My battery was on 98% then when i plugged my ac adapter it says there not charging. Then when i plugged it when my battery is 95% suddenly its charging. I dont know if its really like that or something wrong. Thanks.

It's really like that
-
Really dude? Is it happening to you? But now im plugging it at 98% it says here its now charging. Im getting confused.
-
Yes I see the same behavior. I think it's to preserve battery life. I wouldn't worry about it unless it never charges. It did scare me the first time I saw it not charging when it was below 100% but above 95%.
You could run the battery down to 45~50% and then charge it back to 100% if it will make you feel better
-
Thanks dude! It means a lot to me and to all others who doesn't know.
-
Mine does the same thing. I usually unplug and let it run a bit further down and then charge it fully.
-
Interesting, I was wondering the same! Very weird but oh well! Thanks for sharing!
-
Yeah. At first i was worried.

If you are charging your laptop from <95% full, the battery should charge up to 100%. Similarly, if you're on your fully charged battery and have used <5% (ie you have more the 95% battery life), plugging in the power will not charge the battery. All modern Li-ion batteries are designed this way in order to prevent overcharging and help preserve battery life.

Wow, I wasn't aware of this. Nice! My previous laptop from 3 years ago, a Sony Vaio, never did this so I was finding it weird on the G73. Thanks for the insight.

Didn't realize this either- course I haven't had a modern laptop battery for awhile.
Running those old Dell Latitude D610/600's for awhile.
...don't beg for rep.
Ac adapter online, But not charging on g73jh.
